What Are You Playing This Weekend?

Whether you’re catching up on stuff from last year or playing the newest thing, there are a lot of good options for games at the moment.

This weekend I’ll be playing through a bunch of stuff: I’m clearing out Batman: Arkham Knight on PC, and continue to like all the extra DLC missions and challenges that are in the game now. It’s much more enjoyable playing it all together than it would’ve been playing the DLC missions piecemeal as they came out. Which is to say, Arkham Knight works better as a “Game Of The Year Edition” than as a “season pass,” if that makes sense. The same could be said of the DLC for Rise of the Tomb Raider, another game I’m playing on PC and also appreciating with its post-release stuff folded in. I just played the Baba Yaga DLC mission and dug it, even if the narrative resolution was undercooked. I’m probably going to finish replaying the full game, in part because it’s fun but mostly because it’s so damn pretty on PC.

I’m also still playing Gravity Rush Remastered, which isn’t out until next week but which I really hope gets a chance from people who didn’t play it on Vita. What a creative, fun game. Other games: The Witness, which is lovely and often hilarious in its own way; Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak, which so far is scratching my RTS itch; and some more Diablo III on PS4, which I came back to after playing with Jason at his apartment last week and ruining everything with my OP character.

That should be more than enough for one two-day period. How’s about you? What are you playing this weekend?
