The iPad Pro 11-inch (M5), Apple’s latest and best iPad, launched in October 2025. It features an all-new M5 processor and arguably Apple’s greatest tablet screen to date. It comes with iPadOS 26 installed and includes full Apple Intelligence built into the operating system. The M5 processor delivers up to 3.5 times the AI performance of the previous-generation M4. That means you will get much faster image production, faster on-device LLM responses, and your pro apps, such as DaVinci Resolve and Logic Pro for iPad, will run more smoothly.

The Apple iPad Pro 11-inch (M5) is on sale at Amazon for $899, marked down from the $999 list. That works out to a $100 savings, or 10% off.

The Ultra Retina XDR display is the core of this device’s hardware. It uses tandem OLED technology, which stacks two OLED panels on top of each other. That allows the screen to deliver 1,000 nits of true full-screen brightness with both standard dynamic range (SDR) and high dynamic range (HDR), as well as 1,600 nits peak brightness with HDR. It also uses ProMotion’s variable refresh rates that adjust from 10Hz to 120Hz based on the content being shown. During reading, it will save power by reducing frame rates while increasing them for activities such as scrolling or gaming. A 2420 x 1668 resolution with 264 pixels per inch provides a high pixel density that produces sharp text and details.

The M5 chip is produced using Apple’s third-generation 3-nanometer technology. It features a 9-core CPU and a 10-core GPU, and storage read and write speeds have doubled over the M4. Additionally, the base memory was doubled to 12GB in the M5, enabling additional applications to run in the background.

Connectivity covers Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thunderbolt/USB 4 through the bottom port. Wi-Fi 7 is the latest wireless standard and roughly doubles the practical throughput of Wi-Fi 6E for downloading large project files or streaming to an external monitor. Thunderbolt 4 supports a single external display at up to 6K resolution at 60 Hz or 4K at 120 Hz, with new Adaptive Sync support for low-latency external display gaming.

The 12 MP rear camera shoots 4K video at up to 60 fps with ProRes recording, and the landscape-oriented front camera supports Center Stage for video calls and Face ID for authentication. A four-speaker system and four-microphone array handle audio for media and calls. Battery life is rated at 10 hours of web browsing or video playback, with fast charging that brings the iPad to 50 percent in around 30 minutes on a 70W adapter.

The Apple iPad Pro 11-inch lists for $999, but right now it’s on sale for $899. The discount applies to the 256 GB Wi-Fi model, the entry point for the lineup, which already includes the M5 chip, the Ultra Retina XDR display, Apple Pencil Pro support, and the iPadOS 26 feature set Apple put into this generation.
