One of the best things about the Nintendo Switch 2 is how much you can bring forward with you if you’re an original Switch owner. There are all sorts of improvements for your games, both unpaid which is our preference, and paid, and you can use most of the same peripherals too. The best part on that front, is that you can use the excellent Nintendo Switch Pro Controller with your Switch 2. While the new version is great, there’s just something exceptional about the original.
The only thing that stings about it is how much it still costs. You’re normally going to be looking at an $80 price tag for it, and frankly, we’re not here for that at all. We’re covering it today because it’s on sale with 30% off, and that brings it down to $56 instead. That’s an excellent price, and makes it a great pickup whether it’s your first Pro controller or it’s for your player two. Player three can deal with something else though, let’s be reasonable about this.
Game On
The Switch Pro Controller has been adored by all who’ve used it since it first launched. It’s just a sublime controller in every respect. The battery life is staggeringly good, it’s incredibly comfortable, and it has the asymmetrical joystick layout, which is the best one. It’s really comfortable too, as it’s not only lightweight, but also has a good grip design to make it easy to keep a hold of. It’s easy to love larger controllers too, if you’ve got bigger hands, but this thing feels like the perfect balance of dimensions. It’s just good, okay?
It obviously packs in great rumble features too, and it has motion controls too, if you’re playing something where that’s relevant. That last one is very Switch-specific, and has fallen a little bit out of favor in recent years, but if we go back to it, you’ll be ready. You can also use it with other devices too, as it has fairly good compatibility. It means you can use it on PC, but with a fair few phones as well. Also, it works with Switch 2, we said that already, but it’s worth repeating.
This is easily one of the best controllers on the market, and while the price tag is a little high normally, this discount makes it a lot more appealing. The $56 price tag is fantastic, so being able to get your hands on it right now is excellent.
