Z PZ is an artist based in Shenzen, China. And this is one of the coolest starfighter designs I’ve seen in ages, somehow both “Battlestar Galactica” and “80s anime” at the same time.

I’m cheating my ass off and stole this picture, but I always figured this was what we’d eventually have for fighters.

Imagine each blue thing a thruster. You want to go down, up, left right, well, yes. No need to turn, no need to spin. You just go in whatever direction. Fill in the gaps with laser turrets and lace cameras throughout. The guy in the middle has 360 fields of view and autopilot and auto defense make the driver a cheeto eating George Jetson. And of course awesome inertial dampeners. One button, and his job is to mop the floor. It’s a veritable death blossom. It would be wicked hard to hit a moving target that just flings itself any and every direction it needs or wants.
