A villain from Iron Man is reportedly set to return in Vision Quest, the next WandaVision spin-off.

Way back in 2008, Marvel put out the first Iron Man starring Robert Downey Jr. and began building what would become one of the most successful media franchises in history: The Marvel Cinematic Universe, aka the MCU. And now, dozens of movies later, a new report claims that one of the villains from that very first Iron Man film, Raza, is returning in a new MCU TV show. Are you excited? Do you even remember Raza? Well, it doesn’t matter; he’s back, baby!

On January 14, Deadline reported that its sources had confirmed that actor Faran Tahir was set to appear in the upcoming Paul Bettany-led Vision Quest series. Tahir played Raza, the terrorist leader in charge of the group responsible for kidnapping and injuring Tony Stark. According to the outlet, Tahir is returning specifically to reprise his role as Raza.

Now if you do remember his role as Raza in Iron Man, then you might remember that in the movie he uh...died. I won’t reveal specifics in case you haven’t seen Iron Man and want to watch it, but yeah, he’s dead. But death rarely stops characters in comic books or superhero movies from returning. Perhaps he’s from a different universe or he didn’t actually die or he’s a clone. I don’t know, throw a dart at a board covered in options and whatever you land on will work fine enough.

Also returning in this new Vision Quest series is James Spader who will reprise his role as Ultron, another character who died at the end of the movie he appeared in. But he’s a robot-AI-thing, so maybe he’s like a back-up copy someone had on a floppy disk somewhere.

No release date has been announced for Vision Quest, which was first revealed back in 2022. The series will air exclusively on Disney+ like WandaVision and its first spin-off, last year’s Agatha All Along.
