Iconic Sound Made Portable

For over 60 years, Marshall has been a pioneer in the world of speakers. Dating back to the dawn of rock and roll, Marshall had released the JTM45—one of the brand’s earliest guitar amplifiers. Its heavier and more resonant tone compared to what else was out there at the time helped shaped the sound of generations of music to come.

Marshall’s legacy of that iconic amp can still be found within the design of the Tufton portable speaker. This one still follows the visual identity that has been pretty much unchanged across the lifetime of Marshall as a brand. It’s got textured casing, metal grilles, and analog control knobs across the top. And, of course, the signature logo front and center.

The Marshall Tufton makes use of a three-way design and rear-facing driver which are able to fill a room or outdoor space with clear, articulate sound. The control knobs on top separately control bass, treble, and volume—allowing you to fine-tune your sound how you see fit and based on the environment you put it in.

This may not be the kind of portable speaker you would take to the beach or pool, but its IPX2 rating for water-resistance does mean it can handle a little water. You can also freely move up to 30 feet away from the speaker and still maintain connection.

Any portable speaker worth its salt needs to have good battery life. The Marshall Tufton can last you a full 20 hours on a single charge. It’s able to quickly charge back up so you can keep the party going on. 20 minutes of charge time can provide the speaker with a full four more hours of listening time. You can bring it back to capacity in only tow and a half hours of charging.

The guitar strap-inspired handle makes carrying the speaker around easy, and it can be detached when not in use.
