The Marshall Stanmore III Bluetooth Home Speaker adds the company’s iconic amp design and room-filling audio capability to your home. The Stanmore III delivers 80 watts of Class D power through a single woofer and two outward-angled tweeters to create a wide soundstage when playing music. Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, an RCA input, and a 3.5mm analog input offer flexibility in how you connect your device. The analog knobs on top of the speaker also let you manually adjust volume, bass, and treble.
The Marshall Stanmore III Bluetooth Home Speaker is marked down to $250 on Amazon, down from its regular price of $400. That’s a $150 discount, or 38% off.
An 80-watt home speaker with analog controls and Bluetooth
As part of Marshall’s mid-size home speaker offering, the Stanmore III is designed to sit on a shelf, sideboard, or bookshelf and fill the room with sound. You get a two-way speaker system with wireless and wired connections, plus app-based control via the Marshall Bluetooth app, all in the classic look of a Marshall guitar amp.
Audio output comes from a 50-watt woofer and two 15-watt tweeters, each having its own Class D amplifier. The tweeters are mounted at an angle to project sound outward to disperse it evenly throughout the space, providing full-sounding music from more locations in the room than is otherwise possible. A rear-facing bass reflex port helps reproduce low frequencies down to 45Hz.
Dynamic Loudness adjusts the tone balance based on volume, delivering rich-sounding music whether you’re playing it softly or loudly. Placement Compensation adjusts for near-field reflections caused by walls or similar surfaces, and you can change this setting in the Marshall Bluetooth app.
Bluetooth 5.2 provides a reliable wireless connection up to about thirty feet. The Stanmore III supports Bluetooth Low Energy Audio and Auracast, enabling multiple compatible speakers to reproduce the same music simultaneously. Along with wireless connectivity options, the Stanmore III includes wired connections for integration into a larger home audio setup. An RCA connector lets turntables with built-in phono stages and CD players connect directly to the speaker, and a 3.5mm analog connector lets you connect older mobile devices.
Adjustment of the analog controls on top of the speaker, for volume, bass, and treble, can be accomplished using simple twisting motions, much like adjusting an amp. Along with these manual adjustments, you can use the Marshall Bluetooth app to access additional features, including equalizer adjustment, source selection, and over-the-air firmware updates.
Aesthetically, the housing takes its cue from Marshall’s iconic guitar amps, right down to the script logo on the grille and the brass accents around the analog controls on top. The speaker is available in Black, Brown, and Cream finishes, giving you a color choice that can match your shelving unit or vinyl collection, or simply blend into your living room’s overall aesthetic.
From a sustainability standpoint, Marshall has incorporated elements into the design of the Marshall Stanmore III Bluetooth Home Speaker as part of its ongoing environmental stewardship initiatives. The product uses no PVC, and 70% of the plastics used are recycled, along with vegan materials.
