The mouse that came packaged with your laptop or desktop PC or Mac probably isn’t designed for your digital workload. Repetitive use injuries like carpal tunnel syndrome are no joke, and an ergonomically poor desktop setup can give you tennis elbow almost as easily as, well, tennis. The Logitech MX Master 3S Bluetooth Edition is down to $80 at Amazon, 20% off from its regular $100 price. That’s $20 off one of the better productivity mice you can buy, and one that might save you from pain down the road.

This is the Bluetooth-only Logitech variant, and it ships without a USB receiver or a charging cable. The MX Master 3S has a reputation through a combination of ergonomics and scrolling that most mice do not approach. The electromagnetic MagSpeed scroll wheel can cover a document from top to bottom in a single flick, running 90% faster and 87% more precisely than a traditional notched wheel, per Logitech’s own testing. The effect is impressive: long documents, code files, and dense spreadsheets scroll in a way that feels like the wheel is doing actual work instead of just registering clicks.

No Mousepad Needed

The MX Master 3S’s 8,000 DPI optical sensor tracks on virtually any surface, including glass, which matters less for most desk setups than for the occasional conference table or couch armrest. Sensitivity is adjustable in Logitech’s Logi Options+ app, the same software that handles button remapping and App-Specific Profiles, which let you assign different functions to the same buttons depending on what application is in focus. The setup requires the app and is worth the five minutes it takes.

The FLOW feature, also configured through Logi Options+, lets the MX Master 3S control up to two additional computers. Move the cursor to the edge of one screen and it passes to the next machine, dragging files and clipboard contents with it across Windows and macOS. Pairing with up to three devices over Bluetooth and switching between them makes this a natural fit for anyone running a Mac and a Windows box side by side, or a laptop and a desktop on the same desk. The Quiet Clicks feature creates 90% less click noise, so this is a mouse you can use in a meeting room without announcing every decision.

Righties Only

The ergonomic shell is shaped for right-handed use, with a pronounced thumb rest and a side-scrolling thumb wheel that sits where your thumb naturally lands. It is not ambidextrous, so left-handed buyers should stop here. The charging situation bears repeating: No cable is included, so you will need a USB-C cable to power it. The internal battery is rechargeable rather than replaceable, and Logitech rates it for 70 days per charge under typical use, which in practice means you will only need to charge it a few times a year.

The MX Master 3S Bluetooth Edition’s $80 Amazon sale price is competitive with the Bluetooth version of Logitech’s own MX Anywhere 3S and undercuts the standard MX Master 3S by a meaningful margin. This is a well-made mouse at a fair price, and the current $80  Amazon deal is a step worth taking to avoid stress injuries.
