Buying a tablet usually means buying the stylus separately, then the case, and watching a $250 purchase turn into $350 by the time everything shows up at your door. The Lenovo Idea Tab Plus comes with the Tab Pen and a folio case already in the box. Around them you get a 12.1-inch 2.5K touchscreen at 90Hz, four Dolby Atmos speakers, and a 10,200mAh battery in a metal chassis that weighs 1.17 pounds.

Head over to Amazon to get the Lenovo Idea Tab Plus for just $250, down from its usual price of $280. That’s a $30 discount and 11% off.

A powerful tablet you’ll want with you everywhere you go

Twelve inches diagonally at 2560 by 1600 gives you enough room to place two applications side by side without either feeling confined, while the 90Hz refresh rate keeps scrolling silky rather than jerky. In High Brightness Mode, it can reach as much as 800 nits. So a bright room or direct sunlight shouldn’t wash out your display, and the IPS panel retains its colors even when you tilt it toward someone seated next to you.

Four speakers, each tuned by Dolby Atmos, provide audio that most tablets can’t match, regardless of cost. Two is normal throughout the category. Four speakers let the sound fill your room, rather than coming from a single side of the device.

MediaTek’s Dimensity 6400 CPU powers the hardware and has two performance cores and six efficiency cores. It pairs with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Streaming, web browsing, note-taking, and switching between several apps run smoothly without lag. However, this configuration isn’t ideal for extremely intense 3D gaming or exporting 4K videos.

The IdeaTab Plus battery is rated at 10,200mAh. According to Lenovo, it supports up to 13 hours of continuous YouTube streaming. You can also recharge the battery with 45W fast charging. It offers 128GB of storage and a microSD card slot that accepts cards up to 2TB. That way, downloaded movies don’t have to share storage space with your other apps.

The Tab Pen offers 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity and includes tilt detection and palm rejection. More importantly, since it uses a replaceable AAAA battery, you’ll rarely ever experience having to wait on a stylus to recharge. A feature called Circle to Search has been incorporated into the software. Therefore, when you’re within an application, you can simply create a circle around any item on screen and receive search results or translations without exiting the application.

For $250 instead of $280, you get a whole lot of tablet for your money, and that’s before you factor in the Tab Pen and folio case. On many other tablets of the same size, both would add another hundred dollars to the price. The Lenovo Idea Tab Plus’ casing earns itself an IP52 rating. So small amounts of dust and water droplets will not harm your device. However, fully submerging it in water will damage it. Your Idea Tab Plus ships with Android 15 installed. The company also promises two major operating system updates before support ends, so by the time they stop supporting it, you’ll be running Android 17.
