LEGO and Star Wars go together like peanut butter and jelly. It’s been over 25 years these two worldwide brands have been working together, and now, there are over one thousand different LEGO sets spanning across the series from the original films, to the prequel trilogy, to the Disney Plus shows, and more. Among all of those, perhaps the most iconic set piece to take on LEGO form is the YT 492727ZED light freighter, but we all know it as the Millennium Falcon. Heck, this is arguably the most iconic starship in all of fictional media. There have been a handful of LEGO Millenium Falcon sets over the years, but this one is special thanks to its SMART Play compatibility. Plus, right now, it’s on sale. It’s 16% off, but that’s an extra 16 bucks you get to keep in your wallet as the price comes down from $100 to just $84 for a limited time.
This 885-piece Millenium Falcon LEGO set is brought to life, standing at 3.5 inches high, 10.5 inches long, and 9 inches wide. It comes with four of the series most memorable characters with Han Solo, Chewy, C-3PO, and Luke Skywalker himself. They each come with accessories like Han’s blaster and Luke’s blue lightsaber.
SMART Play Compatible
LEGO recently launched the LEGO SMART Play System in order to bring this age-old toy brand into the modern era. SMART bricks, tags, and minifigures are able to bring play to life with dynamic sounds or lights that react to how you interact with them.
This Star Wars LEGO set is compatible with this new SMART Play System and can enable those playing with the build to hear the sounds of the Millenium Falcon and its crew as they act out scenes from the films. Due note though that this LEGO set does not come with the LEGO SMART Brick that enables this kind of play and it must be purchased as part of the all-in-one sets. The four SMART Tags and four SMART LEGO Minifigures included here can activate the SMART Brick to create this responsive play.
Building becomes even easier when using the LEGO Builder app. This makes following each step in the instructions much easier than using the printed out instructions alone. HEre you can zoom in and rotate the instructions in 3D to see exactly what the set should look like for you at each step. You can also bookmark your progress if you need to step away, then come back later and pick up where you left off.
