A 278-piece Mario Kart set with an interactive Mario figure
This product was created for young Mario Kart fans who enjoy creating while racing. This set includes everything you need to start playing right away: the interactive LEGO Mario character, Standard Kart, Item Box, Bob-omb, and Thwomp. The interactive LEGO Mario character lets kids react with both voice and expression as they play. Once placed in the Standard Kart, Mario’s presence triggers Mario Kart-style sound effects and animations, making racing around the house feel like a real competition.
Since it comes with the LEGO Mario figure, you don’t need to buy an additional starter kit to experience the interaction, so your child has everything they need for their first racing event in a single box. Your child can start racing as soon as they build the Standard Kart. No searching for extra parts or figures after you open the box on race day.
When kids build the Standard Kart with bricks, they develop dexterity through fine motor movements while following each step of the construction process. After they complete the Standard Kart, they can use it to create a variety of races on tables, floors, and homemade tracks. The Item Box gives kids digital rewards when Mario interacts with it. The Bob-omb and Thwomp give kids obstacles to overcome and ways to create unique stories and challenges. Kids can lay out the Item Box, Bob-omb, and Thwomp on a homemade track and create a winding path for Mario to navigate, turning their entire floor into a Mario Kart track and encouraging imaginative play with friends and siblings.
There’s no limit to how many different courses kids can create with the LEGO Super Mario line, because the LEGO Super Mario: Mario Kart Interactive Building Toy can be used with other sets sold separately. These additional sets let kids grow their collection of karts and characters and build larger racing circuits.
With the number of pieces included, kids 7 years or older should be able to complete the build with minimal supervision. It’s also an excellent collaborative building project for a kid to do with a parent or older sibling. Once completed, it doubles as a nice showpiece for a bedroom shelf. The LEGO Super Mario: Mario Kart Interactive Building Toy is an ideal birthday or holiday gift idea for young gamers. It includes three very important elements in one exciting package: building, imaginative play, and the fun of competing in Mario Kart.
