A Star Wars building set that any fan will love to put together
The Anzellans are the little alien repair technicians that first appeared in The Rise of Skywalker, when Babu Frik reprogrammed C-3PO on Kijimi, and they have since appeared again in The Mandalorian and Grogu. This build creates the Anzellans’ ship, and the entire build is based around droid repair rather than combat. Inside there is a workshop area with droid parts and tools arranged on a workbench. Using those parts and tools, you can construct a Battle Droid, or remove the bench completely from the ship and use it to fix droids sitting on a nearby table.
The interior is where most of the 701 pieces went. Lifting the roof off the main compartment gives you access to a table with blue cookies on it, a seat by the console, and the workshop, and the cockpit canopy opens separately so you can put a figure in the pilot’s seat. A ramp folds down from the side of the hull when the crew needs to get out.
Those three figures are worth explaining, because they are not regular minifigures. Grogu is a small molded piece rather than a standard figure with arms and legs, and the two Anzellans are smaller still. That means the interior is scaled for them, and a normal minifigure will not fit through the doorways or sit at the table.
At 701 pieces, the set is dense for its size, and the ship is an original design rather than a rework of something LEGO has already done. Instructions come as a paper booklet, and the LEGO Builder app has the same steps in 3D if a child would rather rotate and zoom the model on a tablet while building.
