There’s been lots of discourse lately on TikTok over TV technology, particularly OLED displays. Many folks are seeing for the first time what is actually more advanced about them with their own eyes—that being they’re color accuracy and deep blacks that look truly black. The discourse part comes in when discussing whether or not its worth it for the price. OLED TVs can be expensive as heck, and sometimes, you just need a TV that gets the job done.

With that in mind, you should know that the 32-inch model of the Insignia Fire TV has come down in price by 46%. Normally sold for $130, this steep discount brings the price down by $60, meaning you only have to pay $70 for a limited time. It’s actually now sitting $10 cheaper than the 24-inch model while the deal is live.

The Insignia TV measures 32 inches across and is capable of displaying in resolutions up to 720p, making it is an ideal choice for anyone that like to go to bed with the TV on. You don’t need some giant OLED at the end of your bed. Just a TV that can pull up a VaatiVidya video essay about Elden Ring on YouTube that you can fall asleep too. This can do that no problem. The TV also works as a great option for any incoming college students starting their first semester in the next couple weeks to put in the dorm room.

As for audio, the TV has support for DTS Virtual-X Sound. This allows the TV speakers to produce sound that feels like it’s filling a three-dimensional space, despite not being true surround sound. If you do want true surround sound, though, the TV does support connecting to a dedicated sound system over HDMI ARC.

Out of the box, the Insignia TV supports all the popular streaming apps over Fire TV. With it, you can download and watch content across Netflix, Hulu, Disney Plus, HBO Max, and so much more. There are also a number of free movies and shows you’ll have access to via ad-supported apps like Tubi and Pluto TV.

Alexa Voice Control

The Fire TV remote also allows you to control the TV with your voice. Finding something to watch is so much easier when you can just speak aloud the title as opposed to having to type out the letter to the show or movie title, one at a time.
