Yesterday we showed you what you can entertain yourself with in between play sessions on the PS4. Now, it's the Xbox One's turn.
Microsoft is calling this the "first wave" of their Xbox One applications, with more following for both their new console and the Xbox 360:
- Amazon Instant Video
- Crackle
- CWTV
- ESPN
- FOX NOW
- FXNOW
- HBO GO (listed as "coming soon")
- Hulu Plus
- Machinima
- MUZU TV
- Netflix
- Redbox Instant by Verizon
- Target Ticket
- TED
- The NFL on Xbox One
- Twitch
- Univision Deportes
- Verizon FiOS TV
- VUDU
Note that these apps, available on the console's November 22 launch day, are for the US only, and require an Xbox Live Gold subscription. In other regions, the Machinima, TED, and Twitch apps will be universally available, while Netflix will be an option in Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Ireland, and the UK. There are also several non-US region-specific apps, such as Eurosport in, well, Europe.
The Xbox One will also ship with these first-party apps, which will be available in all regions on their respective launch days:
- Xbox Fitness
- Xbox Video
- Xbox Music
- Internet Explorer
- Skype
- SkyDrive
- Upload
I'm sure everyone will be busy doing cardio in their downtime.
