The GMKtec Mini PC is a high-performance, compact desktop powered by AMD’s Ryzen 7 7735HS processor, 32GB of LPDDR5 memory, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. It delivers desktop-grade performance for video editing, 3D rendering, and gaming in a chassis that fits in the palm of one hand. Two features set this apart from typical mini PCs at this size: an Oculink port for connecting an external graphics card and a USB4 port that handles 40 Gbps data transfer, video output, and PD charging through a single cable.

The GMKtec Mini PC is on sale at Amazon for $640, marked down from the $950 list. That’s a $310 savings, or 33 percent off.

A compact PC that’s perfect for homes where space is at a premium

The Ryzen 7 7735HS’s Zen 3+ architecture delivers about 30% more performance than the Ryzen 7 6800H or 5825U on the same workload, translating into faster video exports, faster 3D renders in Blender, and smoother frame rates in games that lean on the integrated Radeon 680M graphics.

The included 32 GB of LPDDR5 6400 MT/s RAM runs significantly faster than the DDR4 most mini PCs ship with, which speeds up everything from boot times to compiling code to loading textures in games. Two M.2 2280 NVMe slots support up to 4TB per slot for a total of 8TB of storage, enough for a full Steam library, professional video projects, or a home server setup.

Oculink is the feature that enables this mini PC to go from a productivity machine to a workstation that can be used in many different ways. The Oculink port allows you to connect to an external GPU enclosure with PCIe 4.0 x4 speeds. This allows you to use a full-power desktop-class graphics card for gaming or GPU-accelerated work while avoiding the limited bandwidth issue associated with most other eGPU connections.

Connectivity covers USB4 with 40 Gbps throughput, dual 2.5 GbE Ethernet for network setups that need redundancy or extra bandwidth, HDMI, DisplayPort, USB-A, USB-C, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 cover wireless. The chassis supports VESA mounting for attaching the unit to the back of a monitor.

The GMKtec Mini PC normally costs $950, and right now it’s $640. The bundle includes the mini PC with the Ryzen 7 7735HS, 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM, the 1TB NVMe SSD, the power adapter, and a 1-year limited warranty, the complete kit needed to plug into a monitor and start using as a primary desktop or home lab machine right out of the box.
