Back in college when I was living with roommates, one of the guys had a habit of repeating aloud a certain three words every time before heading out the door. He’d say to himself, “Keys, phone, wallet.” I eventually adopted his little departing catchphrase as my own as well as it kept us from locking ourselves outside the apartment or forgetting our IDs behind when heading to the bar. It’s important to always have an idea of where these crucial belongings of ours are at any time. Phones are easy enough now with things like the Find My app on iOS, but analog stuff like our keys and wallet are harder to keep track of. That’s why you need Apple AirTags.
Apple AirTags bring the functionality of the Find My app to our offline worldly possessions, and right now, Amazon has them in a pack of four selling at a discount. Typically this bundle would go for $99, but the deal takes them down by 10%, leaving them at just $89 total. That’s only just over $22 per AirTag.
Always Know Where Your Things Are
These second generation item trackers from Apple are an easy way for you to always know the location of what is near and dear to you at a moment’s notice. Say you left your wallet at a bar or in the backseat of an Uber. Using the Find My app on Apple devices, you can find its precise location and track it down. In the past, this would have been lost forever, kicking off a series of credit card cancellation and new ID requests. Now, it means showing up right where you left it and getting it back.
The Apple AirTag can be attached or slipped into any belongings of yours you wish to keep track of. You can stick it into your wallet, slip it in your purse, or even snugly place it into a piece of luggage while you’re traveling. No more anxiety of wondering if your checked bag made it onto the plane or not.
Sometimes when we say something is lost, we don’t literally mean that it is “lost” and we have no idea where it is. In a lot of cases, lost just means it’s somewhere in this house, but I can’t remember if I left it in one on my coat pockets, a pair of pants somewhere buried in the hamper, set down on a surface some place, or what-have-you. It’s here just not immediately visible.
In these cases, you can use the Find My app to ping the AirTag, triggering it to let out an audible alert so that you can easily locate you wallet or keys just by following the sound coming from the built-in speaker.
