The interesting part is modularity: the bezel unscrews and swaps for a different color, and the 22mm band pops off so any standard strap fits. You can rotate between a dress look and a sport look without buying a second watch, which doesn’t exist at this price from Apple, Samsung, Garmin, or Fitbit.

The CMF Watch Pro 2 has a 1.32-inch AMOLED panel at 466×466 works out to 353 pixels per inch, close to what Apple and Samsung ship on mainline smartwatches. AMOLED also means blacks are true black rather than the grey bleed typical of LCD screens on sub-$50 fitness trackers. Peak brightness hits 620 nits, fine indoors but dim under noon sun. Fully charged, the battery will last 10-11 days with typical use. Battery life can be extended to up to 40 days by enabling power-saving mode. However, this disables all interactive functions.

Also, built-in GPS tracks speed and distance while running outdoors, so you don’t need to carry a phone for that functionality. Although it has an IP68 rating, which provides protection against rain, splashing water, and immersion in up to 1.5 m of fresh water for 30 minutes, it shouldn’t be used for swimming laps or diving environments.
