The songs in this series are very strong and emotionally charged. I’ve always loved the series since my introduction with FF7 in 5th grade for me. Me and my childhood best friend rented the game and named Cloud and Barret after us in the game. It just felt so epic and way cooler than anything else out there.
Allow me to share another. Its not as heartwrenching outside of the context of the game its attached to, but its haunting on its own merits.
I’ve finally rolled a Hunter in D2 and, uh. Yeah.
Titan can go to hell. It was clearly designed by a Warlock or *maybe* a Titan. I have missed more jumps than I thought possible, and not through my own fault. Jumps I easily cleared on my Warlock and Titan I’m scrambling to grab the edge on my Hunter. Plunges of 40-50… Read more
Persona 5's initial subway impact is amazing, especially if you experienced it yourself or even if you din’t, but have never been in a big city in your life. For me it was a funny reenactment of both, as I come from a small mountain town in the Alps and my first impact with a reeeally big city AND a subway system was… Read more
I do wish there were some sort of mechanism in the game for tracking down the last of the purple coins. I only have about 3 left in most of the levels, and I have absolutely no idea where to look. Read more
I have absolutely fallen in love with this show! It’s very slow to start, and some episodes are pretty much useless but others are incredible! I wish starco would happen already because... Well I guess it’s out of jealousy. I’m jealous they have a friendship like they do and how it should turn into something greater. Read more

Thank you so much for this article. My favorite OST of 2017 by far and should be the winner of any gaming soundtrack awards for the year, but seems criminally underrated by most reviewers. Exquisitely layered, some serious moody music with tracks like ‘Secrets Secrets Secrets’ and the unreleased transition music… Read more
I never thought my favorite part of a Hironobu Sakaguchi game would be the battle system, especially since Final…
“Puyo Puyo Tetris”
Oh my god. I think you may have to have a degree in mathematics to truly understand how puyo puyo is supposed to work. At first you’re all, “I got this, it’s Dr. Mario.” Then you realize that it’s totally way more complex.
The best I got was trying to stack a tower at the sides and of mostly complete… Read more
I had a very similar experience in Destiny 2: it was the first FPS I played in more than 20 years because first person games usually make me motion sick, and I had a LOT of trouble with the platforming on Titan. I’m actually not terrible at 2D platforming, but the combination of the first person 3D perspective and the… Read more

It’s a good show, if anyone reading hasn’t checked it out, I would definitely recommend it. Read more
I love this show so much. You’re right about the relationships being the heart and soul of the show, and I’d also give special mention to the music. Not only the title and credits songs, but also stuff like the Blood Moon Ball, Just Friends, or the recent Silver Bell Ball songs, which are just fantastic. Read more
This is such a great time for animation between this show, Gravity Falls (still rewatch), Steven Universe, and others. My favorite episode is where Marco goes on a quest which takes years and when he and Star finally meet again he’s aged into an adult while she has not. Star’s reaction to Adult Marco is hilarious and…
This is my personal favorite of all of the post-Adventure Time series (outside of my very irrational love for a certain cartoon about pastel-colored horses). Star is a show that is unapologetic in its dedication fun and silliness, but also recognizes that drama and real emotion are what allows those aspects of the…
Nackamor drack was one of the biggies for me. krogans in the ME series tend to be one note tough guys with some hint at a deeper feeling of loss, and it works for the species who are at once powerful survivalists but also who know they blew up their own civilization. While wrex did this dichotomy well, drack was… Read more
