maybe i’m trippin but the diablo 2 wiki says the butcher is a quest monster. there’s also a staffer who says they’ve fought him in diablo 2 🤔 Read more
terrible mistake on my part so i changed it, thank you for pointing this out Read more
you’re hitting on something i think is endemic in the current critical space: that some bloggers don’t come with the same energy when it’s either expected or required. i can’t speak for everyone else of course but whenever i write about a company that has a history of known malpractice i always try to mention that in… Read more
i know one staffer did for sure but i think there was another one or two that played diablo 4 on pc as well Read more
you know that feature wasn’t something i was looking for when playing the game so i’m not too sure but i would be surprised if that wasn’t an option Read more
1) yeah it does have crossplay (let’s play sometime) Read more
not capitalizing in non-blogs is also a stylistic thing much like bell hooks and ee cummings so thank you for getting it ! i wanna also say tho for all the amazing readers here that my pronouns are they / them. nbd since i’m sure folks aren’t checking bios often but just wanted to put that out there :) Read more
i mean you’re right but it is also a grind so i thought that description was funny Read more
that’s fair. i got a lotta outriders vibes from this as well, especially regarding the world tiers and how that affects difficulty. what class were you running? Read more
i love you for dragging me with the office, one of my fave shows lol i think of it as a stylistic choice. i could just write “perfect” and have a couple of times throughout this blog but i also try to inject some of my personal style as a writer in non-newsy posts. and as long as my editor’s cool with it i’m cool with… Read more
very that ! i was growing so annoyed when the character kept being like “i can’t do that right now” whenever i tried executing a skill. iirc there is a setting in the game that lets you turn off certain dialogue options to make the protagonist a little less loquacious but yeah the incessant talking could become grating Read more
yeah i can’t speak to the differences between d2, d3, and d4 as i’ve only dabbled with 3, played immortal for like a week, and skipped the first two games. maybe there’s some disappointment to be had (i was bummed by the long cooldown timers) but i’ve found great enjoyment in the early levels of this game. i think… Read more
i reached out to the game’s publisher, bandai namco, as well as sony. i forgot to reach out to microsoft but honestly i always try to send an email to everyone involved in the stories i write just to give folks a chance to respond to the topic Read more
it’s laughable how wo long kinda expects you to know what the divine beast is and how to summon it because that weak little on-screen text doesn’t do enough to notify you that it’s available in the heated moments of a battle. but totally agree: once i figured out the divine beast i was like, “it’s curtains.” Read more
also this, this is great advice ! get your morale ranking up as high as you can before going into any boss encounter because it essentially acts as damage resistance. oh and land fatal strikes whenever you can because they drop your enemy’s morale ranking which means they take even more damage. imma disagree with the last sentiment that “things won’t get easier later” because imho wo long is the easiest soulslike i’ve played thus far. that’s not to say it was a breeze. lu bu whooped my ass and i’m still stuck on the final boss but yeah nailing the deflect consistently and calling in reinforcements whenever i… Read more
i def tried this when playing the first few demos and my initial playthrough for review but once i figured out that the divine beast immediately ends liang’s fight when summoned i was then conditioned to call upon my spirit animal whenever i could the moment an encounter started getting difficult. literally made the… Read more
