Yeah, Treyarch map design definitely seemed to shift after WaW. I remember those larger ground war maps were clusters of buildings everywhere. Treyarch really seems to cater towards the competitive side of COD with the Black Ops series though, especially building off the comp list in BO1 and League Play in BO2. Three-l Read more

Grats on the killstreak and glad you’re enjoying the game! I’m in the same age group, but I understand some players don’t enjoy the fast pace that COD evolved into. My style of play just kinda changed with cod, and i’m having trouble adjusting back to the slower pace. But even in COD4 and MW2 we didn’t have all these Read more

I would be good with that. I love BR games, but I don’t think we need a new one for every Call of Duty. But we’ll probably get a post-launch MW BR, and there’s the possibility we could see Blackout 2.0 for Black Ops 5, assuming BR games hold popularity. Read more

Yeah, I wish there had been more challenges for DLC character unlocks instead of locking them behind loot boxes or pricey bundles. It really is a polished BR, and I hate to see it fade out. Maybe it will return for Black Ops 5. Read more

That would be nice to have! I’m getting better with the touchscreen controls, but it’s not my favorite.  Read more

Yeah, I enjoy a few matches of MP or BR during breaks. The BR still feels bot heavy for me, but MP definitely is putting me with more players than bots. Read more

I did! I remember the first game being okay, but playing them out of order might be a factor there. 2, 1, 3. I just had so much fun with 2. Read more

I’m really happy to read this. I had so much fun with Trine 2 co-op, but Trine 3 was an awkward adjustment. I’m a terrible Amadeus, but that’s part of why I laughed so much and enjoyed with friends. I’m ready to spawn all the awkwardly placed boxes. Read more

I really enjoyed BF3 & 4, and I can see myself playing some Ground War. I’ve learned that i’m really hard to please with large-scale warfare. MW is giving me exactly what I asked for in BF. I always complained that the maps were too big and I spent too much time travelling back to far away points because there wasn’t Read more

I never experienced that on Shipment. Sounds like a nightmare, haha! Read more

I see a lot of people saying Ground War is just Battlefield but better. I think it plays well, but I don’t think its nearly as smooth as BF. Ground War is just a chaos of COD killstreaks, which is still a lot of fun, but I don’t think it does anything better than BF. Read more

It seems to be another part of the “realism” of MW. I think it’s the bulkiness of the goggles that don’t allow proper ADS? It felt awkward at first, but I didn’t mind it by the end. The lack of hit markers in “realism mode” is definitely the change I struggled with the most. Read more

Glad you’re enjoying it! Connection seemed to be inconsistent after the first day or two of week one. I got the same vibe from the shotguns, so I honestly can’t say I used them much by the end of it. I’ll give them another go this weekend though. I heard a lot of people say the mp5 felt great for them, but mp5 felt Read more

I think this really goes beyond players just learning the maps. BO4 felt waaaay faster in beta than MW. IMO, players took more risks with gunfights and movement around the map in BO4. Learning the maps will help a little though. Read more

Maybe this game’s hardcore mode would be suitable for players wanting the slower pace COD, assuming they don’t mind the lack of health regen. If most of the core player base wants a mini-map and faster pace, the mini-map should come back for core. So many people got bored with WWII early on, and eventually SHG Read more

Yeah, it is quite a change of pace. I think Infinite Warfare ramped up the movement way too much with the speed and level of wall running. It got ridiculous. WWII toned down the pace of MP a lot, but I think that still felt better than the current pace of the MW beta. I felt like BO4 was a good medium. Not as wild as Read more

No matter what setting used, footstep audio has been very inconsistent. Many players complained of it being low or inaudible, but I heard a few mention they could hear footsteps. A fix is coming though.   Read more

I think we’ll see more classic MW guns added in. I’m crossing my fingers for an ACR. Also, I’m really intrigued by the customization options in the Gunsmith. Might take me a while to figure out the attachments this time around, but i’m anxious to try out different options. Read more

Yeah, I think microtransactions have a lot of people worried. I loved MW2 and get some of those old vibes from this game, so I really hope we don’t see any OP loot box guns or stat based variants slip into the game later on. Read more

Not much of a fisherman, but i’ll give fishing royale a try, haha. Read more
