Now playing

And now for something COMPLETELY different:

Glad I got it from a level up bright engram a few weeks ago. It’s one of my favorite emotes Read more

Well now I’m REALLY glad I impulsively spent the bright dust to get this one last night. Time to go glitching! Read more

The token system wouldn’t be such a bummer if they hadn’t inexplicably taken out the smart loot system. Read more

Yeah, I used to avoid PVP unless I was chasing quest in Destiny 1. Never did Trials, but every Iron Banner, I was there, sucking at first and then remembering the things I had to do in order to get my hands on Thorn (both times). Read more

I was really looking forward to “Iron Banner” and its signature “Level Advantage: Enabled”, I’m not even a raider and I don’t get to play often so at 285 I’m not the strongest player but it was something different. . .So far it’s totally lackluster. Read more

The new token reward system feels like the easiest thing to point to as a problem, but I don’t think that’s really it.

I’d argue that the token system is exactly what’s wrong with the new Iron Banner.

I just picked up my 10th package minutes ago, and I ended up with a 50% duplicate rate. The first three packages I Read more

It feels so pointless. It’s just the crucible and you work toward nothing substantive. I’ve got several packages and it’s been re-skinned guns and zero armor. I thought at first that the token system was a cool thing to handle some of the world content, now that I see they intend to use it for absolutely freaking Read more

Last time I played Stardew I was focusing on efficiency, and I don’t want to say I ruined the game, but I got burnt out by the end of year one. There are only so many crops I want to harvest in a day, and I don’t want to feel like I’m constantly rushing. Read more

I get paralyzed in games like this over the worry that I completely missed doing something and that opportunity has been lost forever. I’ve read that you can essentially play Stardew Valley forever, and that was a huge weight off my mind. I’m still only halfway through Spring (just got the game on Switch a few days Read more

I really appreciate this view of the game. I started playing it for the first time when it came to Switch and knew nothing when I started, but since I’ve never played a game like this I skimmed over the tips article just to make sure I wasn’t doing anything really stupid. But otherwise I’ve been going through with Read more

I played when the game was released. I got to fall of year 3 and have a farm that I still return to from time to time. Tons of money, lots of crops, and gallons of pale ales.

Great article. Ever since getting the Xbox Elite controller (IMO the best console controller ever made), I’ve been a big proponent of making paddles or some kind of “under buttons” a standard addition to controllers in the future. They’re way more comfortable, ergonomic, and useful for a lot of games than the current Read more

The best possible game controller has already been made.

I’ve been waiting so long for Sony to come up with something to go head to head with the Elite controller. I think they really missed their chance in not launching something like that alongside the PS4 Pro. Read more

I just recently picked up the steam controller, and while it’s definitely not flawless (The generally cheap feeling, and especially the glossy texture), I really like some of the ideas from it. I wish that there was a way to fit in a second analogue for the right side and still keep the two touchpads, but that would Read more

Steam controller all the way. It took some getting used to, but once I got the hang of it I never want something else. The sheer amount of buttons to bind is insane. Competitive gaming will always be M+K but for every other game I just go with the Steam controller. Read more

So here’s one thing that I wish more controllers had in lieu of a 4-directional d-pad: a Neo-Geo style clicky slide pad.
