I’m definitely looking forward to it, though the PC will always be the closest thing to a “main” gaming platform for me. I’m interested in how Nintendo might expand on the idea for screen-adjacent multiplayer games like 1, 2 Switch, though I can also see that becoming another neat but ultimately unrealized idea, sort Read more

One could ask the same question about the world we live in. It’s just something about dongs, I guess. Read more

Yeah. I love a good winding Souls map, but I’m cool with the mission structure, too. It sets the game apart in a way I like so far. Read more

Complexity is subjective but I would say this game is complicated and definitely difficult—but in some ways it’s also more approachable than a Souls game. For example, there are tutorials that walk you through how to do things, and the game just generally seems more willing to explain itself. That said, don’t pick it Read more

I’ve been playing on a PS4 Pro with “action mode” turned on and it feels like a stable 60fps at 1080p. Might be some minor dips, but nothing I’ve noticed. This game demands precision, and it’s very nice to play at a smooth frame rate. There are options for how you want the game to run, but other folks have already Read more

Oh, I like that pool thing, that’s a good way of describing it. I feel similarly - the first hour or so is always the toughest. Doubly true with this game. Read more

It’d be cool to post a transcript of each episode, but it’s probably not something we’ll have the bandwidth to do anytime in the near future. Sorry! Read more

Interesting! I’ll give this a shot. Good to know it works for some people, though. (I dislike motion controls in general.) Read more

It’s... better. For me, at least, though I’m running an i7 and an overclocked 1080. It’s not what it feels like it should be, given how the game looks. I’m glad I can play it with no major issues, since I really love the game, but I’ve seen plenty of people on various forums saying they still get frame-rate drops and Read more

Hah. Yeah, I don’t think I’ll ever use a guide for this game. I’m not opposed to checking a FAQ for some games, but for The Witness, feels better to just stop playing and come back later with fresh eyes. (Despite the problems with that approach, evidenced by the story in this article.) If I started using a guide, it’s Read more

I do appreciate when games do this, though I’m laughing imagining what The Witness version of that would look like.  Read more

I actually have a pair of 7506s and I’ve never liked them. Personal preference. They mostly just sit in my closet, though I occasionally use them when I need multiple pairs of headphones for a recording session. For stereo and recording purposes, I greatly prefer the AKG K240s. Read more
