Schulz actually did draw the Little Red Haired Girl once (though it was just her silhouette). There was a depiction of the Little Red Haired Girl in the TV Special “It’s Your First Kiss, Charlie Brown,” but Schulz didn’t consider the TV specials to be canon.

I think the characterization changed over time. The 1950s dynamic between the two characters was different from the 1960s, and was different from the 1970s. Read more
