I think narrative is important, but it's also useful to establish the setting as 'alive' in order to make it an engaging experience. I'm not saying it needs all the open-world frills (mini-games, collectibles, etc.) but at least let people take a look around the city to see how it's all 'laid-out' so to speak. Read more
