It sucks for you, that's true. You get to know that there are places where games are sold for less and you can't buy it, and the only reason you can't buy it is because someone clicked a button and lifted a restriction that prevents you from doing that. Read more

Region restrictions can be both good and bad. The good side is that it allows retailers to adjust their prices to different markets. There are a lot of places where 60 dollars is very expensive, regardless of currency difference. People just have less buying powers in different markets. Read more

I think if this restriction applies to digital it applies to physical. As in, no more units will be produced. This doesn't mean you lose your copy, and you can still download it if you own it. It just means you can't buy it anymore. Read more
