The one benefit of going portable is that they scale down. Because I think it's the transition to higher resolution that made JRPGs worse. Not only literal higher monitor resolution, but a higher resolution in everything. Read more

Does that violence serve a purpose besides action filler? Dwarf Fortress is on MoMA and that game can get very violent, though you only get to see descriptions of it. But it's stuff like getting an axe stuck in someone's head. Read more
