More as a general comment on teh games of that era, what is actually pretty striking in retrospect is how often the main characters were utterly unlikable. It was the era of antihero, but it somehow felt even more present in games as they just assumed that the players would most identify and cheer for dicks. Read more

I honestly think that the “fake OS within the game” approach was a bit lazy. It works, and it mirrors the original PC version. But there was an opportunity to re-imagine the file management system that makes sense in the console setting, such as manipulating save files or tinkering with fake DLC packs. Read more

I would personally like to invite those people to go play in rush-hour traffic! I guarantee if those people were in the same position they’d be absolutely 100% milking every bit of clout they have to bring attention to this issue. Is that too minor an issue? How about the enemy AI being completely oblivious to ranged attacks, despite one of the four playable characters specializing in them? Observe as Cattie-brie fires off arrow burst after arrow burst into a group of enemies whose only reaction is to slowly die.

I used this for grounds for a refund on the PC version. Super scummy to charge everyone the same price, and not disclose that Playstation versions get more content. They also had additional recurring bounties/rewards that were exclusive to PS4. Read more

This protection is common for community testers (think beta or “insiders” tests). Because if you stream it or post gameplay, the bouncing indicators, which are annoying to edit out, tell CD exactly who you are. Read more

It could be worse, the update could be determining that you’re not playing on a Playstation console and tell you upfront that you’re not getting a certain character.
