As soldier I carried the Mantis, Vindicator, Tempest, and I think the Predator (pistol). Never carried a shotgun until the final mission (glad I brought one then >.>). I wasn't suffering a penalty for carrying those 4. Did the same thing I did throughout ME2 on insanity... Kept up incendiary ammo and adrenaline rush. Read more

I say the moment they added focusing on headshots, ammo and a lot of focus on ammo enhancements, they clearly made it a shooter. To unite the Geth and Quarians you had to have destroyed (not overwritten) the Geth during the Legion loyalty mission in ME2. Otherwise it ends badly as it did for you. Read more
