I disagree. When done well, DLC can be your best friend. I recently completed Dishonored (would have been my GOTY) and by the end I couldn't get enough, despite the 20+ hours I spent on it. So I spent $15 for about 12 more hours, giving a new perspective on the story and a fun new mode. Read more

On the whole if done right DLC is a great thing. Just unfortunately many companies work DLC in the wrong way. Yes CAPCOM I'm talking about you. DLC is a marketing gimmick, nothing more. Developers can lay out these 'pros' for having them, but ultimately at the end of the day, if the dlc content is worth anything, out of respect to the consumers it should have been in the original product. Read more
