Second time's the charm?

@dev: Analysts, doctors, lawyers, bankers, politicians, reporters, chefs, traffic wardens, police... I can think of lots of jobs that receive plenty of inane criticism. Read more

@dev: If you think about it, no. Development is a job like any other - if people are able to keep a job and stay in reasonable shape then they feel that others should be able to as well. Read more

@OkayOctane: Creating the game isn't a cost exclusive to the PS3 version - the retooling and training are. They still count as investments, just as releasing Steam on Macs will have long term benefits. Read more

@OkayOctane: Thanks for pointing those out - I'd never heard of SwapGame and didn't know LoveFilm did stuff other than movies. GAME have a website too though, and get many exclusivity deals. Read more

@PS1: I find that really disturbing actually. Oftentimes the Galbadian soldiers are actually a lot easier to relate to than the main characters! It kinda freaks me out that you are a bunch of 17 year olds who are really good at killing... Read more

@ledzep177: I can only hope Starcraft II has as strong a custom map community as WC3 had back in the day. I'd also like it if it could bring all my friends back together under one game, without the silly region lock it seems to have in place at the moment. Read more

@Chestnut Bowl: They were planning on having a real time battle system for IX, but "fans" (ie. excitable internet folks) reacted very negatively so it was canned. This shows it's a possibility at least. Read more

Taking a break from revising for finals to say that Persona 4 is one of the best games I've ever played, and was my GotY 2009 (which is when it was released in the UK). Read more

13 sold 5.5 miller worldwide, with around a third of western sales coming from the 360 (based on its first month American sales). Read more

Uh... this article shows that 67% of PS3 exclusives have a metacritic score of 75 or over, which shows that exclusives have a high likelihood of being quality. Read more
