@TundraWolf: Something along the lines of "Mercy is the mark of a great man...guess I'm just a good man."? Read more

@D-K, Anarchist: Read the second paragraph of the link below. It's a holiday weekend man, give Owen a break. Read more

@Super Violent St. Cannon- GOTY Edition: Picked up Torchlight, Deus Ex: Invisible War, KotOR, Indigo Prophecy, Day of Defeat: Source (loved the original, heard the community for source kinda sucks, but I couldn't pass it up for $2.49), Dead Space, and Beyond Good and Evil. Haven't had the chance to start any of them Read more

@icedrake523: I spent a few hours playing Uncharted 2 online this weekend and decided to take a quick break and play some single player for a few minutes. 12 chapters later I was surprised that the game is just as captivating the second time through as it was the first. Read more

@The Forgetful Brain: A good handful of game with both single-player and multiplayer modes do this. I've always assumed the devs do it just so those without Xbox Live Gold accounts can still get 100% of the achievements or to make those who would otherwise only play multiplayer and never touch the campaign reconsider Read more

@DonataNoodle escaped from a grue: I really miss getting access to an airship and getting that sense of freedom that comes with having the entire world opened up for you to explore and the thrill of finding some secret, hidden island or cave and trying to figure out how the hell you're supposed to get there. @Twilight Sea: There's a pros and cons list at the bottom of the article but like most of Tim's stuff, reading the article in its entirety is time well spent. Read more

@DonataNoodle escaped from a grue: It just wouldn't be Final Fantasy without and airship, although I don't see FF13 having one in the same sense that the older titles did. Maybe like FF10 where you get it late in the game and choose your destination from a menu. Read more

@Helba: The title suggest and the author clearly states it is merely his impression of the game so far, and the note at the bottom of the article says that the actual review is incoming. It's a little unfair to judge the article as a review when it has clearly been labeled otherwise. Read more

@TheRockingDead: "The anonymity of the internet should not be confused with a license to act like a jerk. You have to apply for one of those. There's paperwork involved." Read more

@Variatas: Correct, Bethesda is handling the publishing but the actual development is being done by Obsidian. Read more

@Baconrath: Used to happen to me all the time when I would go to midnight releases and they'd have the guide at the counter at Gamestop. I really don't even use the guides that much. Most of the time I'll just end up on GameFAQs anyways. Read more

@pekosROB: I've only played the first Modern Warfare title and I wouldn't say it changed anything. It had solid game mechanics, the campaign drew people in with it's "oh shit, that was cool" moments and yeah it had nice graphics, but the storyline really felt inconsequential and there was nothing that really felt new Read more

@That mop mutant from NES.: My thoughts exactly. This industry is a long way off from having an award show like music and movies have, but Spike certainly isn't helping anything. Then again, helping to legitimize games isn't what Spike is trying to do, they just want viewers. Read more

@Paradox Viper: The boss battle them from Blue Dragon is one of the main reasons why I never completed the first disc.

@kearneybobs: Somehow my copy of Wind Waker found it's way to my desk about two weeks ago, and it has just been sitting there, begging me to play it. Read more

@#c17403417: Particularly "Death....is a preferable alternative to communism!" I've never heard a robot speak with such disdain.
