This winter has been so long and cold, I had forgotten what it is like to actually be comfortable outside. Spring is here, and it’s finally beginning to warm up. Soon we’ll be spending long nights hanging around in our backyards with a few friends and some drinks. What could be better? I’ll tell you. All of that, plus an outdoor movie. It’s shockingly simple to get an outdoor movie night going these days with how affordable projectors have become. Take a look a this one from Aurzen. It’s got Roku built in and happens to be on sale. Normally sold for $250, you can score one for yourself or a friend now for 32% off. That ends up bringing the price down by $80, meaning you only have to pay $170 for a limited time.

Roku TV Interface

What’s great about this projector is its already running Roku. If you have a Roku TV already, you’ll already know your way around. You can access all the big streaming apps like Netflix, Disney Plus, Apple TV, and Prime Video. Those four happen to be right on the remote for easy access too. The projector also supports Apple AirPlay so you can reasonably cast anything you want to it from your phone.

The build of the projector is solid. It has a premium fabric finish to let it blend in to any space. Great if you intend on using it indoors in a single space, giving it a more permanent home like you would a regular TV.

The screen is able to stretch anywhere from 40 inches to a whopping 150 inches. You can bring a real cinematic feel of a movie theater to your home with a massive screen. Color looks vivid and true to life. The projector is able to display at a bright 330 ANSI lumens and in a native 1080p resolution.

Sound quality is solid. It the projector has support for Dolby Audio. You can either use the on-board speaker or get even bigger cinematic sound by connecting to external speakers over Bluetooth.

Now this projector isn’t portable. While portable projectors have they’re perks, they’re not all they’re cracked up to be. Particularly, a portable projector will run on a battery that can charged up before use. That means you can set up shop anywhere without needing to find a power outlet. However, these normally can only last like tow hours max. So if you are planning to watch something substantial like Dune, you’re going to have to find a power source anyway.
