Apple raises prices of MacBooks, but the latest MacBook Neo is still Apple’s take on the affordable everyday laptop. It was a much-needed move, especially considering how many excellent Windows laptops with reliable performance don’t come with a four-figure tag, while a typical MacBook often costs an arm and a leg.
MacBook Neo is available in two storage options; 256GB and 512GB. Prices start at $599 for the 256GB model, which is pretty reasonable for all that it offers. Amazon, though, is offering it for $10 less than the official Apple website, for $589. The 512GB version is also discounted, going for $690 here instead of $699 through Apple.
These offers apply to all four stunning colors, including Indigo, Citrus, Blush, and Silver. Note that these laptops recently came back into stock after selling out because of the high demand. We’re still expecting them to sell quickly, so it’s better to grab yours before they vanish again.
Brilliant visuals, great sound
The durable aluminium design gives off a premium feel and is made to last. The 13-inch gorgeous Liquid Retina display pushes a brilliant 2408-by-1506 resolution, with up to 500 nits of brightness. There’s support for a billion colors, so expect vibrant, sharp visuals as you stream your favorite content, plus while performing other tasks. This exceptional visual quality is paired with two side-firing speakers for bold, room-filling audio as well, which just rounds off the entertainment side of things nicely.
If you’re someone who attends online meetings often or just like to hop on video calls with friends, you’ll also appreciate the 1080p FaceTime HD camera, along with a dual-mic array. These are optimized to deliver both video and voice clearly on the other end, so you can focus on the conversation instead of constantly worrying about the sound/video quality.
MacBook Neo uses the A18 Pro chip for reliable performance throughout the day. It can comfortably handle most of the regular stuff like browsing, office work, and streaming, plus some AI-powered tasks that may require a bit more muscle. Battery life can last more than a full day (approximately up to 16 hours) on a single charge regardless of the job at hand, which means you won’t find yourself hunting for a charger just a few hours into using it. Plus, like all other MacBooks, Neo also blends nicely into the Apple ecosystem and lets you control other devices like your iPhone directly through the laptop. You can take calls, respond to texts, copy/paste text, and a lot more using iPhone Mirroring. This comes in handy when your phone is charging in another room, or you just don’t want to switch between devices repeatedly.
You can now enjoy all this and more for $589 – if you choose to buy from Amazon instead of Apple. The retailer is offering a $10 discount on all colors, so you’ve got a range of stunning options to choose from.
