Apple iPad (A16 Chip) Drops Back to Its Lowest Price, Now Close to AirPods Pro Pricing

If you're in the market for a new tablet, you won't ever want to pass up an iPad.

The new Apple iPad 11-inch is the current standard iPad model, which is the one most consumers will purchase. It’s powered by the same A16 chip used in the iPhone 14 Pro. In addition, this model now comes with 128GB of storage as the base model, up from 64 GB previously. So, you can download and install your favorite apps, games, videos, and images on your device without worrying about running out of space.

Head over to Amazon to get the Apple iPad 11-inch for just $299, down from its usual price of $349. That’s a $50 discount and 14% off.

One of the best tablets in Apple’s lineup

The 11-inch Liquid Retina Display has sufficient resolution to easily see small text. It also has enough vibrancy for watching movies, and enough brightness that you won’t have to squint when using it in sunlight or under patio lights. The True Tone feature adjusts the screen’s color temperature based on the amount of light in your environment. For example, if you are viewing text at night, the display shows warmer colors, making it easier to read than on other lower-priced tablets.

Under the screen, the A16 chip handles pretty much anything you can throw at it. Streaming 4K video, web browsing with a dozen tabs open, light photo editing in apps like Pixelmator or Lightroom, and modern Apple Arcade games all run smoothly. It’s not quite the performance level of the iPad Pro, but for the kind of work this tablet is usually asked to do, the chip is way more than enough and will stay relevant for years of iPadOS updates.

The iPad is equipped with a 12MP Center Stage front camera that automatically keeps you framed during video calls on FaceTime, Zoom, or Google Meet. It also has a 12MP rear camera that handles 4K video and document scanning for anyone who uses the iPad to grab notes, receipts, or paperwork on the fly.

Connectivity is handled by Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3, with a USB-C port at the bottom for charging and accessories. Touch ID sits in the top button for unlocking and Apple Pay, and the battery lasts about 10 hours of web browsing or video playback on a single charge. The iPad 11-inch also works with Apple Pencil for note-taking and drawing, and with the Magic Keyboard Folio if you want to turn it into a lightweight laptop replacement.

The 11-inch Pad has dropped to $299, a discount off the typical $349 price. This is one of the most affordable options to enter the Apple Ecosystem if you’ve always wanted a tablet but didn’t want to spend that much, or a great upgrade for someone with a dated old iPad.
