The Steam Deck remains a fantastic handheld gaming PC, and a great way to experience gaming with just a sublime level of comfort. We’re never going to get bored of switching between it and a gaming PC, but if you don’t own a gaming PC and still want to game on a bigger screen, then you’re going to want a dock. It’s just a good way to get some multiplayer going, or just add another way to use that fantastic handheld.
While you can go for the official Steam Dock, and you’ll likely get plenty of use out of it, if you’re looking for something a little more cost-efficient, then you’ll want the Anker Steam Deck Dock. It’s normally $36, which is still cheaper than the official one, but is also currently on sale for $30 instead, which is an absurdly good price. Move quickly if you want it though, as the deal won’t last for long.
Gaming, But Bigger
The Anker Steam Deck Dock is incredibly easy to use, as all you need to do is connect it to your TV, and then hook up your Steam Deck, and you’re good to go. You can then play your games on your TV or a monitor, if you want to, and that makes things a bit more comfortable if you’re looking for a larger screen, but also if you just don’t want to stare at your hands while you’re gaming. It’s great for that, but it’s also an amazing way to add more multiplayer functionality to your Steam Deck, as it’s a little tricky to use the screen when playing games with couch co-op or something like Brawlhalla.
You can also use it to connect more peripherals, which is super handy, and well worth considering if you do want to get this dock. The thing is though, that it doesn’t just work with the Steam Deck, you can actually use this for the ROG Ally and the Legion Go too, and probably a bunch of other tech if you’ve got it around and it could use a larger screen. It’s just a great way to add a new way to game to your setup, and even has fast-charging too.
This is a great deal, because while the 18% discount isn’t massive, there’s no denying that the $30 price tag is really appealing. We don’t know how long the deal is actually going to last for though, so if you’re looking to pick it up, make sure you’re quick.
