The Anker Nano Smart Display Charger is Anker’s small 45W wall charger, but what really sets it apart from the rest is its front screen. This display will show real-time information about how much current your device is receiving, how hot the charger is running, and the charge status. It also has some basic animations for a little extra fun. On top of the charger, there’s one USB-C connector, and the prongs fold flat back into the housing at either 90 or 180 degrees. Its small size is due to its gallium nitride design, and Anker provides an 18-month warranty.

Head over to Amazon to get the Anker Nano Smart Display Charger for just $26, down from its usual price of $40. That’s a $14 discount and 35% off.

A quick and efficient wall charger that won’t overheat

Wall chargers normally have a small LED that shows power is on and nothing else, leaving you guessing when a phone charges slowly. The display here reports real-time data, including power flow, the charger’s temperature, and charge status. This is mainly useful for catching a bad cable, since a cord rated below the charger’s output is the most common reason charging slows.

Anker has rated this charger at 45W. To do that, the company used a three-stage power system that adjusts to the device being charged. When you’re trying to charge a phone that’s low on battery, Anker says that’ll give you the fastest charge rate. As your battery begins to fill up, the charging rate drops off. This is typical of all smartphone chargers today. Anker says an iPhone 17 Pro reaches 50% in about 20 minutes on this.

Care Mode is the feature worth knowing about for overnight charging. Double-tapping the charger turns it on, and it runs the charge cooler, keeping the charger itself about 36 degrees cooler and your phone’s battery up to 9 degrees cooler than a standard 45W charger would. Heat wears down a lithium battery over time, so a cooler charge overnight helps the battery retain its capacity longer.

Size is the other selling point. Gallium nitride components handle heat better than the silicon they replace, which lets Anker build this about 47% smaller and 36% lighter than its original 30W charger. The dual-folding prongs rotate to two positions, so the charger fits behind a nightstand or into a crowded power strip without fighting the plugs on either side.

Four colors are available, including an orange that matches Apple’s Cosmic Orange phones. Bear in mind that the Anker Nano Smart Display Charger at $26 rather than $40 doesn’t include a cable, so you’ll need a USB-C cord rated for 45W or higher to get the full speed out of it.
