Smart plugs make it incredibly easy to control regular appliances via smartphone or a voice assistant. These tiny gadgets make the most boring stuff (lights, coffee machine, fans) smarter, so managing things around the home becomes a lot more convenient.

Once an appliance/device is connected, you can use the smartphone app to manage it, or rely on Alexa to get things done for you. You can also create routines to simplify the tasks that you do almost every day, such as preparing coffee or turning on a lamp at a specific time. For instance, if your morning involves turning on the fan in the living room and preparing coffee, you can connect both to smart plugs and create a routine that turns the ttwo on at the same time. This convenience also comes in handy when you’re away from home. You can use the Alexa app to control lights, and even make it look like you’re inside when you’re actually far away.
