There’s no bigger downer that getting together with a group of friends for a chill hang and realizing no one has a speaker on them. Ultra-Portable
This JBL Go 4 is compact. It’s only about the size of two decks of card stacked on top of each other. It might be just a touch wider and longer than that, but for all intents and purposes, this is a pocket-sized speaker. It’s also got a little lanyard loop on the end which you can use to hook it onto a bag or belt for even easier portability.
Despite its small stature, the JBL Go 4 can still pack a punch. You’ll be much happier listening on this than the old school “phone-in-a-red-cup” solution. Want even bigger sound? You can pair two JBL speakers together. You can either set the two in stereo more where one gets treated as the left channel, the other as the right. Or you can just have it amplify the same sound for more volume.
Battery life is pretty good. As a standard, you can expect up to seven hours of listening time on one charge. If you need a bit more, you can turn on Playtime Boost to give it an extra two hours before it dies on you.
You can really take this speaker anywhere. The JBL Go 4 has an IP67 rating which makes it both dustproof and waterproof. Take it to the beach or the pool and don’t worry if it gets splashed at all.
JBL has the Go 4 in a variety of cool colors and patterns. You can go more standard with your pick with either black or white, or have a little more fun with either the vibrant red or purple. There’s also a camo pattern option, just be careful not to set it down in the grass and lose it forever.
