The prices of storage has been through the roof as of recent. Since the push for more implementation of AI and the data centers that make it possible, storage parts and accessories have been in high demand, resulting in prices going up. This annoyingly has affected storage of all kind, across the board. You would think something like a microSD card would not be impacted, and yet it is.
Take a look at these microSD cards from Lexar. Amazon has a three pack that also comes with an SD card adapter. Right now they are listed at $50. If we look back at what they were selling for even just last year, you’ll see you could have gotten this bundle for as low as $20, but by January of this year, these microSD cards along with most storage solutions on the market saw their prices go up by more than double in some cases. It’s unfortunately not looking to good that these will ever return back down to their pre-2026 prices, but at the very least, for a limited time you can get this three-pack for $5 off. That brings the price down to $45 for the time being.
