A micro-ATX AM5 motherboard with PCIe 5.0, four M.2 slots, and Wi-Fi 7
ASUS built this motherboard specifically for you if you want to build a gaming PC in a compact case while still getting all the premium features you’d expect from a larger gaming PC. You can expect an AM5 processor socket, four DDR5 memory slots, one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, four M.2 slots, Wi-Fi 7, 2.5Gb Ethernet, 20Gbps USB-C, and a clean, white-accented design with RGB LED lighting. Each of the 14+2+1 power stages on this motherboard is rated at 80 amps and uses ProCool power connectors to deliver clean, stable power to your CPU, helping it maintain high performance during extended gaming sessions and resource-intensive workloads.
All four DDR5 memory slots support up to 256GB of memory. AMD EXPO technology also lets you select the memory rating of your DDR5 modules to set them to their rated speed. According to ASUS, the board also supports DDR5 memory overclocking to 8,000 MT/s or higher, so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to fine-tune your system as you update your hardware.
The motherboard supports PCIe 5.0 end-to-end, including a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot for the latest video cards and a PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot for the latest solid-state drives. The board also includes three M.2 slots for PCIe 4.0 solid-state drives and two additional SATA ports for even more storage. This lets you store your operating system, a large collection of games, and project files on your computer.
Wi-Fi 7 on this motherboard is extremely fast, and the ASUS Q-Antenna is extremely easy to attach and position. An Intel 2.5Gb Ethernet port also provides a reliable, fast wired connection for online gaming and downloading files from the internet. The Realtek ALC1220P audio codec delivers clear sound for games and music, and the HDMI and DisplayPort outputs let you use your processor’s built-in graphics.
To make building easier, this motherboard includes several DIY-friendly features. For example, the PCIe Slot Q-Release mechanism lets you remove your graphics card with the touch of a button. The same applies to installing SSDs, which require no screws thanks to the M.2 Q-Release and Q-Latch mechanisms. It also includes a pre-mounted I/O shield, a BIOS FlashBack button, a Clear CMOS button, and Q-LED diagnostics to help with setup and troubleshooting. The ASUS ROG Strix B850-G Gaming WiFi AMD AM5 mATX Motherboard is a great choice if you want to build an extremely powerful gaming PC without taking up excessive space in your computer case.
