Logitech’s MX line is the company’s productivity-focused mouse and keyboard family, geared toward professionals who use devices heavily for work and creative tasks. The MX Anywhere 3S is Logitech’s latest compact travel mouse, with an 8K DPI sensor that tracks on virtually any surface (including glass) and Quiet Click switches that reduce click noise. MagSpeed scrolling supports up to 1,000 lines per second on the metal scroll wheel, which switches between ratchet and free-spin modes. Battery life reaches 70 days on a full charge, with a 1-minute quick charge providing 3 hours of use.

You can get the Logitech MX Anywhere 3S on Amazon for $80, marked down $10 from $90 for an 11% discount.

A comfortable mouse that’s perfect for any use case

The 3S gets a major upgrade over its predecessor, with an 8K DPI sensor. Higher DPI results in more precise cursor movement, particularly on high-resolution displays and during detailed work such as photo editing or design. Logitech’s Darkfield tracking technology lets the sensor work on glass tabletops and other reflective surfaces. You’ll find tracking quality stays consistent across mousepads, desk surfaces, fabric, and uneven or textured surfaces, without needing to change your settings at all.

The metal scroll wheel can switch between ratchet mode for line-by-line precision and free-spin mode for rapid scrolling through long documents. Quiet Click switches reduce the noise of each click while keeping the same tactile feedback as the original MX Anywhere 3. Six total buttons are available across the mouse, with the side buttons, thumb wheel, and additional inputs all customizable through the Logi Options+ software.

Connectivity to up to 3 devices is supported via Bluetooth Low Energy. Once paired, switching between devices is as easy as pressing a single button. Supported operating systems include: Windows, macOS, Chrome OS, Linux, iPadOS, and Android. However, full customization through the Logi Options+ software is available only on Windows or macOS. Additionally, Logi Flow allows you to share files/copy and paste across two devices running the same version of Logi Options+.

The compact size of the 3S is aimed at travel and portable use rather than full desktop ergonomics. If you have larger hands, you may prefer the larger MX Master 4 from Logitech’s lineup. One thing to note is that a Logi Bolt USB receiver is not included in the box. If you want a dedicated 2.4 GHz connection instead of Bluetooth, you will need to purchase the receiver separately. Horizontal scrolling and the thumbwheel on the MX Master 4 are absent on the 3S, as the smaller body has less space for additional inputs.

At $80, the Logitech MX Anywhere 3S is a small discount from the $90 list price, putting Logitech’s current compact productivity mouse below typical retail prices. Pick one up on Amazon while the discount holds on the latest MX Anywhere model with 8K DPI tracking and Quiet Click switches.
