Russian photographer Andrey Shinkarchuk (aka Sketch_Turner) is one of the best at what he does, which is not only taking great cosplay photos but applying just the right amount of Photoshop.
Photoshop’s use in cosplay photography can be a little controversial! While almost every image you see on the internet has been manipulated somehow (even if it’s just adjusting the light and colour balance), use too much of it and a cosplay photo can look so fake that it kinda defeats the point of having a real person dress up in the first place.
Andrey sometimes goes heavy on the background effects here (usually to add some dramatic flair), but never in a way that detracts from the focus: a cosplayer and their fantastic outfit.
