Halo 5 Is Out October 27

The next Halo game will be out this October, Microsoft announced tonight in a trailer that aired during The Walking Dead.

You can watch the trailer, which is live-action and unfortunately has no actual gameplay, above. Halo 5: Guardians will be released on October 27 for Xbox One. Hopefully matchmaking works then too.
