
Capcom has announced that Resident Evil Revelations 2 will come in the form of four weekly episodes, debuting early next year.

The episodes will cost $5.99 each in the US (no European pricing has been confirmed). Capcom will also release two compilations: the complete season, which will cost $24.99, and a disc-based version, priced at $39.99. Apart from the four episodes, each compilation will come with as of yet unknown “additional game content.”

When it says "weekly" episodes, does that mean there's only going to be a week's gap between them? What's the point of releasing the game episodically in that case?
