Vampire yakuza, minigun-toting trucks, a guy in a flying fuzzy frog suit… Sounds like Miike Takashi all right.
Miike, of course, is the filmmaker behind such movies as Ichi the Killer and Audition.
Gokudo Daisenso (ꄵé大ę¦äŗ ) or roughly translated, āThe Great Yakuza Warā is an upcoming movie from director Miike Takashi thatās about… itās about… Fuck me, itās a Miike Takashi movie. Thatās as good as a description one can hope for.
Subtitles: Toshi Nakamura
āYakuza-ismā is apparently a form of contagious infection. Okay, Iāll bite. Knowing Miike, itāll probably be weird and entertaining. Plus itās got Yayan Ruhian from The Raid and The Raid 2 in it looking predictably badass.
Gokudo Daisenso open in theaters in Japan on June 20th. Hopefully, itāll probably get a release in the West in some form or another.
Because, this.
