Aqua demonstrates exactly how I feel when I see “Kingdom Hearts” from Square Enix in my inbox and it’s not about Kingdom Hearts III.
Not that I don’t mind getting a preview of the very-long-awaited third installment of the series via Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth by Sleep–A Fragmentary Passage. Aqua looks pretty amazing in the Kingdom Hearts III engine, battling Heartless that obviously attended the Day Z movie school of mass attacks. I’d just much rather have a full game instead of a side adventure that’s likely shorter than its name.
Also featured in this E3 trailer are snippets from the HD remaster of Dream Drop Distance, aka the meat of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and some hooded figures from Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover, the other new hour-or-so adventure that makes up December’s PlayStation 4 release.
Don’t be sad, Aqua. We’ll get there.
