looks like gears of war, but with some slightly improved visuals, and crazy battlefields.

sadly, unless this comes out on the pc. i will NOT be buying another 360 for this.

Yea, visually it looks like Gears of War with some tweaks, but the battles look a bit more epic, which is good.

Personally I'm not jacked to play it, but I really liked GoW and I'll be snagging Gow2. Hopefully its single is short and sweet, and they fix all the multiplayer issues from the original. I really don't want a host advantage anymore, along with the other MP issues. Long as those are fixed I'll be happy.

Well, and some new gametypes and more than 4v4.

maybe i missed something in the first one...but this is one bloody ass game....9.3/10

well considering the gears of war set the standard for graphics this gen im not surprised...it looks slightly improved im glad to the framerate looking at 1000x better than in one....

I always like to see new weapons....The only complaint I just did not like was the online multiplayer matchmaking. There has to be a Halo 3/CoD4 like-party system because we know that party system works! I want a hell of alot more of playlists. Like plant the bomb, Free for all, etc etc.

But Great trailer trailer none the less...I just can't wait to see what GTV has to offer. :D

I loved Gears of War 1, but this game has way too much hype for what little changes graphically and in gameplay it has.

I thought it looked amazing, the graphics look fantastic and the framerate was impeccable in that clip

I wasn't a big GoW1 fan back in the day, but GoW2 is looking pretty nice =)

The scenery is such a nice break from the areas of GoW. Hopefully we see more of the open forest style environments in 2, they just look great. The graphics aren't improved much, but I don't really see that as a bad thing.

Here is to hoping for large scale battles

Gears of War did not set the standards for graphics, perhaps it set the standard for the most use of the grey pallet but not the best graphics available.

All I saw in this trailer was Gears of War 1 with some new moves and a new location, if this is all the fuss is about, I'd rather use my money on something else.

@Jmontilla2786: The ghostbuster game people have no idea what they're talking about in regards to anything.

And yeah, the game does look more hectic judging from that clip, and the body as armor should be great. Not super excited, but will get eventually.

looks an awful lot like a certain gow1 level.
these "cover" systems are getting pretty annoying to me for the reason that video games have always had cover. the only difference is that now we have the option of employing a .5 second animation when we want to hide behind stuff now. all it does is waste time, its like playing advance wars with the attack animation on. if youve ever played gears online you know just how handy a cover system is when theres no ai that makes enemies hide behind walls instead of run up to your pillar and chainsaw the crap out of you.
no more "cover" systems please, it was a neat idea before online totally exposed it for a more complex way of tapping the analog stick a little bit left.

Are you guys kidding me?!? Gears of War 1 did not look this great. Yes its visually only slightly better, but not with that much going on. Gears 1 was pretty plain in comparison to that level. This looks insane. No level in #1 had this much going on. SOLD!!

It looks bigger and more hectic. I'm not sure what to feel. I like the chainsaw on chainsaw fight, and the upside down Lancer kill. The whole locust shield thing is weird. I dunno I need to see more.

Fucking awesome! The lighting bounced off to make it perfectly bad ass and don't get me started on the color. Every strand was perfect. Gears 2 looked pretty cool too.

SpikeTV also showed Ghostbusters footage. Looks cool!

@Kovitlac: Doesn't warrant a reply but I'll bite. First, the video is labeled HD and is far, far, far away from low quality. Secondly, it's not hard to see the graphics went unchanged. Differences would be pretty obvious... if there were differences.

No one is saying it doesn't look great. It just looks extremely, extremely similar.

...Gears of War has a great cover system.

I'm looking forward to this game. I think people are just forgetting how fucking great the first game was.

Looks like gears 1, which was entertaining a couple playthroughs so this'll probably be worth a rent.

The lighting and framerate looks significantly better. Hopefully the campaign is quite a bit longer.

To those complaining about visuals... it's running on the same console as the previous game. What are you expecting? And it looks like they're having a lot more shit happen on screen here, with silky framerate.

It looks alright but in all honesty I've had gears on the pc for a while now and have yet to play more than like 15 minutes of it.

Though personally I was more interested in the unreal editor because I'll eventually be using it in school. I'll get around to it one day >.>

as far as gears 2 if i ever finish gears 1 and then gears 2 comes out on pc and doesn't have some ridiculous retarded securrom bs or whatever then i may consider picking it up. From what the footage looks like though, it looks like they upgraded the 360 engine to match the pc engine so the visuals really aren't really that much more impressive IMO.

A slight visual improvement, but what is important to me is the kick ass gameplay. I mean, better visuals don't make a better game. Gears of War has always been a good looking game and even a slight upgrade is still a pleasant sight for my eyes.

Wow. Just wow. What's that? Oh it's the Gears hype machine...looks well-deserved thus far.
