Well, he's done it. After years of work and more video games than you've probably played in your entire life, Stallion83 has become the first person in the world to achieve a Gamerscore of 1,000,000.

As you can see below, at the end of a marathon session in the home stretch, he stopped the clock at exactly one million.

Congrats, dude. I'd say it's one hell of an achievement, but really, it's one million of them.

It's not just fans who were following him, either. Microsoft kept a close eye on proceedings, Xbox Live's Larry Hryb on the scene to be one of the first to congratulate him.

Stallion83, long the record holder for the highest Xbox gamerscore in the world, is on the cusp of something very special. He's about to pass the one million points mark.

In 2010, he was on 500,000. A year later, 600,000, upon which he made a solemn vow: to reach one million. As of tonight, he's on 999,705, agonisingly close to the magic number.
