The publisher of titles such as BioShock and Grand Theft Auto is opening up shop in Japan by establishing a Tokyo office.
Previously, Capcom released the GTA games, while Spike has released the BioShock titles. With its new Tokyo office, Take Two will begin localizing and releasing its own titles directly into the Japanese market. The first title to get a Take Two Japan release is Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City.
GTA developer Rockstar opened a Japanese office of its own in 2005 and collaborated with Capcom in bringing the GTA titles to Japanese players. However, the office has since closed.
