Surprise! We’re getting a new South Park RPG, and this time it revolves around the superheroes Coon and Friends.
This one is developed by Ubisoft San Francisco—guess they wanted to do it internally instead of relying on Obsidian again—and it’s called South Park: The Fractured But Whole. No word on release date, but it’ll be on Xbox One, PC, and PS4.
South Park co-creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone are writing and voicing this new game, as they did for Stick of Truth, and yep I’m already sold. On stage during E3’s Ubisoft presser today, host Aisha Tyler asked Parker what happened to his vow that they wouldn’t be making any more video games in the wake of Stick of Truth’s grueling development cycle.
“The big thing is, we’re kind of whiny babies,” Parker said, before noting that they really learned how to make games at the end of Stick of Truth’s development. Watch the full clip:
